Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct resident care and support daily living activities
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting while preserving dignity
Take and record vital signs accurately and report meaningful changes to the nursing team
Support mealtime assistance and ensure nutritional needs are met
Document resident care clearly and timely in accordance with facility procedures
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver great care
Follow infection control policies, safety protocols, and maintain a clean environment

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (required) — current or active in Connecticut preferred
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or able to obtain
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility onboarding requirements
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
Dependable attendance and flexibility to meet shift needs

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
State-approved CNA training program completion and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient/resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
Clear documentation and charting practices
Infection prevention and safe patient handling
Good communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
