Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients—design individualized rehab programs that improve mobility, strength, and function
• Document thoroughly in the Electronic Medical Record—complete evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides—provide guidance and ensure high-quality, safe patient care
• Coordinate care by communicating with physicians, co-workers, and external providers to support continuity of care
• Support billing accuracy—apply correct DX and ICD-10 coding and follow PT billing policies for Medicare, workers' comp, private pay, auto, and liens
• Ensure patient comfort and safety—assist with transfers, mobility, and provide stand-by support during gait and recovery
• Participate in clinic marketing and referral development to grow patient access to services
• Follow and promote HIPAA and OSHA policies—protect patient privacy and maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy and active or pending licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
• Experience in outpatient/rehabilitation or private practice preferred
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and basic computer skills (Word, Internet, typing)
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and PT billing practices (Medicare, workers' comp, private, auto, liens, cash pay)
• Ability to be physically mobile during an 8-10 hour workday and lift up to 50 pounds for patient handling
• Supervisory experience with PT Assistants and Aides a plus
• Commitment to HIPAA and OSHA compliance and ongoing professional development

• Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
