Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Provide direct critical care in the ICU and remain accountable for assigned patients
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and ECG rhythms, and respond quickly to changes
- Communicate patient condition, abnormal findings, and care plans clearly with physicians and the care team
- Lead and guide patient and family teaching to support recovery and self-care
- Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality and professional standards at all times
- Support and direct activities of other nursing personnel to ensure cohesive care delivery
Qualifications
- Current RN license (Nursys verification acceptable/required)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- DCI/BVP certification required
- Critical care / ICU nursing experience with hemodynamic monitoring skills
- Ability to perform accurate ECG rhythm interpretation
- Completion of required facility screenings and exams (drug screen, core competency exams, specialty and skills checklists)
- Up-to-date immunizations and fit test (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, TB testing, Varicella, Tdap) as listed
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation skills
- Hands-on experience with hemodynamic monitoring and critical care equipment
- Clear, professional communication with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Patient and family teaching skills with a focus on safety and understanding
- Comfort with acute care workflows and rapid response to clinical changes
- Commitment to patient privacy, confidentiality and documentation best practices
