Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging (X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm, OR imaging) following department protocols
• Prepare and educate patients about procedures, verify identity with two identifiers, and obtain informed consent where required
• Acquire accurate images while practicing radiation safety and adhering to ALARA principles
• Operate imaging equipment per manufacturer guidelines and troubleshoot minor equipment issues; escalate to service engineers when needed
• Maintain complete and accurate EHR documentation, including procedure charging and record management
• Coordinate prior studies and necessary paperwork for Radiologist review and interpretation
• Assist, train, and cross-train imaging staff; support clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation as needed
• Order, stock, and maintain supply inventory to ensure smooth daily operations
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and infection control policies

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required)
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 if position requires driving) and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Successful completion of background check, pre-employment drug screen, and Employee Health meeting prior to start
• Preferred: prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography
• Preferred: experience with PACS and RIS/HIS electronic records systems

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging and image acquisition techniques
• Proficient with X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures, including C-arm and OR imaging
• Radiation safety expertise and adherence to ALARA standards
• Familiarity with EHR, PACS, RIS/HIS systems and accurate documentation practices
• Equipment operation and basic troubleshooting skills; ability to call for service when needed
• Excellent patient communication and education skills, plus the ability to obtain informed consent and review medical history
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
