Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Management and Accreditation program across the system, setting strategic direction and daily oversight
• Develop and implement quality, accreditation, infection prevention, patient safety, and risk management policies and programs
• Ensure compliance with accrediting body standards and coordinate regulatory and accreditation surveys
• Drive performance improvement using rapid PDSA cycles and system-wide quality measurement
• Collaborate with EHR teams to incorporate quality measures and produce meaningful reports
• Investigate complaints and provide actionable recommendations to executive leadership
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to sustain quality outcomes

Qualifications

• RN license or comparable clinical degree required
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required within 18 months of hire
• Minimum five years of healthcare administration or performance improvement management experience
• Minimum three years supervising healthcare professionals
• Master's degree in health-related or business field preferred
• Demonstrated experience with accreditation standards, credentialing, and infection prevention
• Comfortable with travel by jet, small aircraft, and ferry

Education

• RN license or comparable clinical degree (required)
• Master's degree in health-related or business field (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Quality management and improvement methodologies (PDSA, performance improvement)
• Accreditation standards interpretation and application
• Risk management, patient safety, and infection prevention
• EHR quality measurement and reporting
• Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills
• Program planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Experience working with Alaska Native/American Indian health programs is a plus
