Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality med-surg nursing care to adult patients with telemetry monitoring
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly intervene when changes occur
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop effective care plans
• Administer medications safely and document all treatments accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Complete specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain excellence
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to practice in Iowa)
• Current BLS required
• Current ACLS required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience in Med-Surg nursing with telemetry monitoring
• Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Must meet health requirements including drug screen, immunizations, fit test and required health documentation

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Patient assessment and focused clinical reasoning
• Medication administration and IV therapy principles
• Accurate clinical documentation and care coordination
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently overnight and manage urgent situations
