Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered telemetry nursing care for adults and geriatric patients across MS-Tele and specialty units
• Monitor cardiac and neurologic status and respond to telemetry changes promptly and effectively
• Titrate heparin infusions per protocol and document responses accurately
• Float to Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation units based on unit needs
• Collaborate with charge nurses, nursing aides, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Document care and chart in EPIC accurately and timely
• Participate in 1-2 day unit-specific orientation with a preceptor to ensure a smooth transition

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to submit) required
• Minimum 2 years of MS-Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Experience with heparin titration and telemetry monitoring
• Comfortable floating across multiple acuity levels including PCU/Stepdown and low-acuity ICU holds
• Valid driver license for radius requirement (60 miles) and ability to be in-state for orientation

Education

• Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) – BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and MS-Tele experience
• EPIC electronic charting proficiency
• Heparin titration knowledge and safe medication management
• Adult and geriatric patient care across multiple specialties
• Familiarity with ventilator adjuncts: ventilator holds, CPAP, BiPAP support
• Ability to function in a float pool and adapt to different unit workflows
• Charge nurse exposure or willingness to support unit leadership when needed
