Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac step-down care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips telemetry while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Administer non-titrating drips and manage vents including CPAP and high-flow oxygen
Collaborate with a dedicated Charge Nurse and 24/7 Pharmacy and RT teams to optimize patient outcomes
Float to sister telemetry units when needed, expanding your skill set across Cardiac, Neuro, and more
Complete required SIMs Lab training on sterile technique for Foley and central line care

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed)
Must demonstrate sterile-field competency in SIMs Lab on day one

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation skills
Comfort with Cerner EMR and bedside PCs
Experience with CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and non-titrating drips
Ability to maintain 1:3-4 patient ratios based on acuity
Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to float across units
