Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every 3rd weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU, including premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical cases, ECMO, and cooling
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes while maintaining strict sterile field
Collaborate with neonatologists and midlevels 24/7 to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor and manage ventilated patients in coordination with respiratory therapy
Float to mother-baby and labor care as needed, caring for babies only

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Minimum 3 years of overall NICU experience
Previous travel experience preferred
Must be competent in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with sterile field maintenance
BLS, NRP, and Cardiac STABLE certifications required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Skilled in neonatal assessment and critical care
Knowledge of ventilator management and neonatal resuscitation
Understanding of sterile technique and infection control
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
