Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0630-1900 and 1830-0700, weekends as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and care for PCU patients with cardiac, stroke, and medical/surgical conditions
Titrate drips including Heparin, insulin, and octreotide
Interpret telemetry and respond to changes in patient status
Collaborate with charge nurses, techs, and interdisciplinary team
Manage high-volume admissions, transfers, and discharges with a positive team attitude

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact license)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book medication exam during orientation
Driver's license required for verification of radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Titrating drips confidently (Heparin, insulin, octreotide)
Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Team collaboration in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to float to Med/Surg, ICU, or ED as needed
