Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other MedSurg and PCU units to support team needs
Document patient progress in EPIC and ensure hourly rounding
Act as charge nurse after one year of experience

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and Oncology nursing experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Chemotherapy certification required (ONS/ONCC)
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration
PCU level of care with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring
MedSurg nursing skills
Proficiency in EPIC EMR
Ability to work in a fast-paced, mixed acuity unit
Strong teamwork and communication skills
