Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-13-2026

End Date: 09-12-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM); one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for acute inpatients including post-surgical ortho, CVA, and deconditioned patients
Cover Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER areas as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Participate in department orientation and continuous learning

Qualifications

Valid California Physical Therapist license required
BLS certification from American Heart Association
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience required
Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of acute care physical therapy practices
Ability to manage a diverse caseload including ortho, neuro, and medical patients
Proficient in electronic medical records
Team collaboration and patient education skills
