Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions
Monitor and manage titratable drips including Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, and cardizem
Support the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart patients
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to cardiac rhythms
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiology on-call team
Float to units with same or lower acuity as needed

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience with this patient population
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license to verify residency beyond 50-mile radius
Willingness to comply with facility policies including artificial nail prohibition

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of cardiac and vascular diagnoses including CHF, A fib, and CVA
Proficient in titration of cardiac drips and blood pressure management
Ability to interpret telemetry strips and use remote monitoring systems
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
