Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (day or night), self-scheduling, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
Titrate intravenous drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Manage ventilators and perform hemodynamic monitoring
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT, OT, social work, and dietician
Ensure hourly rounding and maintain patient safety standards
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active RN license (any state - compact license accepted)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification required
Minimum 1 year of PCU/Oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome
EPIC experience preferred (can train), but must have worked with EPIC within 6 months
Driver's license required to verify distance from facility

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and safe handling
Hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
Ventilator management
IV pump operation (Alaris)
EPIC electronic medical record
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Team collaboration and communication
