Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to neuro telemetry patients, including post-surgical crani, spine, and CVA cases
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, ensuring prompt intervention for any changes
• Assess and manage patients post-TPA, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team
• Maintain sterile field and assist with procedures as needed
• Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and PCTs to deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on neuro conditions and recovery plans

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in neuro telemetry or similar setting (within the past 6 months)
• Active and unrestricted RN license in Arizona or compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam via RELIAS within 48 hours of offer (2 attempts max)
• Proficiency in sterile technique and passing a sterile field exam on orientation day 1
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious declination with documentation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Knowledge of neuro conditions, including post-crani, spine surgery, and stroke management
• Expertise in sterile technique and aseptic procedures
• Excellent critical thinking and communication abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced 28-bed unit with 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratios
