Occupational Therapist – UHC Staffing

Location: Redding, CA

Start Date: 06-15-2026

End Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with every 3rd weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and treatments to patients in an acute rehab setting
Develop and implement individualized care plans to maximize patient independence and functional outcomes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PTs, SLPs, nurses, and physicians
Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and discharge planning
Document patient progress accurately in Cerner EMR

Qualifications

Active California Occupational Therapy license required
BLS certification from AHA required
Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience, with at least 1 year in acute care
Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in acute rehab and patient assessment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Time management and flexibility to adapt to patient needs
Knowledge of adaptive equipment and therapeutic interventions
