Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology patients in a fast-paced acute telemetry unit
Monitor telemetry and interpret EKGs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PCTs, resource RN, and SWAT IV team
Administer chemotherapy and manage central lines (if chemo certified)
Maintain sterile field during procedures like Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certification required
Chemo certification preferred
Willingness to pass DYS exam and SIMs lab skills
Must have own vehicle for travel assignments
Comfortable with sterile technique and central line care

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Cerner EMR proficiency
Chemotherapy administration (preferred)
Sterile field maintenance
Central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
Bipap and Cpap management
Patient education and communication
