Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and titrate IV drips such as Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Assess and manage patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum of 1 year of PCU/Step-down experience preferred
Driver's license required
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to titrate IV drips and manage complex patient loads

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and problem-solving
Excellent communication and teamwork
Proficiency in titrating Cardizem, beta blockers, seizure medications
Experience with continuous EEG monitoring
Ability to float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab if needed
Knowledge of cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes patient care
