Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a Progressive Care Unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage titratable drips including insulin and cardizem
Monitor telemetry and hemodynamic status, including CVP, Aline, and Swan-Ganz
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed
Participate in hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certification required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
First-time travelers welcome
Willingness to take a pass/fail exam during orientation (90% required to pass)
Driver's license required for submission
No artificial nails allowed

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration
Experience with titration of drips (insulin, cardizem)
Proficiency in telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to float to different units and adapt quickly
