Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3 shifts per week including weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process
Administer medications, monitor vitals, and respond to patient needs
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Document all care accurately in Meditech and maintain compliance

Qualifications

Active Alaska RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 3 years of Med-Surg nursing experience
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Comfortable with Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis systems

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of Med-Surg nursing best practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with electronic medical records and medication systems
