Location: Pueblo, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Block scheduling with flexibility; every other weekend required.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess functional status and develop treatment plans
Facilitate early mobilization and mobility assessments for acute care patients
Determine patients' mobility status and safety for discharge home or transfer to rehabilitation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Medical/Surgical, IMC, and ICU settings
Provide education to patients and families on adaptive techniques and discharge planning

Qualifications

Current Colorado Occupational Therapy license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or equivalent
Experience in acute inpatient care, including ICU, Medical/Surgical, and Orthopedic settings
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of 8-10 patients per day

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in patient evaluation and early mobilization
Familiarity with stroke rehabilitation and orthopedic rehabilitation
Strong discharge planning and mobility assessment skills
Acute care and ICU experience highly valued
