Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM-7:00 PM / 6:30 PM-7:00 AM), including every other weekend and every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU setting
Monitor and titrate drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Manage patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and collaborate with the charge nurse and patient care techs
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Demonstrate critical thinking, effective communication, and a positive attitude in all interactions

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
Must pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required for verification of residency outside 50-mile radius
Positive attitude, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills essential

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in PCU nursing, including cardiac monitoring and drip titration
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to adapt quickly to a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
Experience with continuous EEG monitoring preferred
