Location: Omaha, NE

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, every other weekend, every third holiday. Shift times: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Cardizem, betablockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Assess and manage patients with cardiac, neurological, and renal conditions, including continuous EEG monitoring
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed, expanding your skills across units

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
Experience in PCU, ICU, or step-down unit preferred
Must pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titration of cardiac and neurological drips
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent teamwork and positive attitude
Adaptability to float between units
