Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances residents' quality of life
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state, and federal regulations
Coordinate primary care and follow each resident's individual plan of care
Uphold the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
Maintain strong assessment skills and ensure accurate, timely medication administration
Champion safety standards and infection control practices for residents, visitors, and staff

Qualifications

Active Alaska LPN licensure required
Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place

Education

Associate's degree in nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
Leadership and staff development abilities
Commitment to safety, integrity, and compassionate care
Ability to follow individualized plans of care and facility protocols
