Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units, managing patients with diverse diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more.
• Titrate heparin drips as needed and monitor telemetry for cardiac rhythm changes.
• Float across multiple facilities within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) to meet staffing needs.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient populations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Previous neuro experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius zone and work rotating weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
• Ability to manage heparin drips and other IV medications
• Proficiency in caring for patients with cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, renal, and post-surgical conditions
• Excellent communication and adaptability for floating across multiple units and facilities
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
