Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day/Night rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Monitor and titrate critical drips like Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Conduct continuous EEG monitoring and manage complex patient needs
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and patient care techs in a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Maintain a positive attitude and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Valid driver's license and ability to commute 50+ miles from facility
No artificial nails while providing patient care

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to titrate multiple drips simultaneously
Comfortable with open-book exams and ongoing learning
Adaptable to floating across different units
