Registered Nurse - PCU/Oncology
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, rotating weekends, self-scheduling
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a 28-bed PCU/MedSurg unit
- Monitor and manage patients on chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, and other drips
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and educators
- Float to MedSurg and PCU units as needed, maintaining high standards of care
- Participate in hourly rounding to enhance patient experience
- Document using EPIC electronic medical records
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology nursing experience
- First-time travelers welcome
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required at start
- Driver's license required at submittal
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in EPIC EMR
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
- Ability to titrate insulin and cardizem drips
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural respect
