Location: Richmond, Virginia

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM clinic, plus night call 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM and weekend 24-hour call

Candidate Pay Rate: $2538 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Collaborate with pediatric providers to diagnose and determine surgical needs
Manage and perform preoperative, operative, and postoperative care for pediatric patients
Provide 24/7 coverage with office support for triage calls
Handle consults from the Pediatric Emergency Department with quick response times

Qualifications

Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery - required
Active Virginia medical license - required
COVID-19 vaccination - required
Professional liability insurance coverage of $2.6M/$7.8M - required if requested

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in pediatric surgical care for newborns to teenagers
Strong skills in preoperative, operative, and postoperative management
Ability to respond to emergency consults within 15-30 minutes
Collaborative approach working with multidisciplinary teams
