Location: Viroqua, Wisconsin

Start Date: 06-29-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends (2 out of 3) and holidays

Hours per Week: 30

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department
Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions for a wide range of conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Manage life-threatening emergencies with precision and compassion
Monitor patient status and administer medications as prescribed
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Wisconsin (or compact state)
Minimum 5 years of emergency nursing experience
Current ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications
Proficiency with Point Click EMR
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency nursing and critical care
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly in a rural critical access hospital setting
Knowledge of trauma and cardiac care protocols
