Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro telemetry patients including CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and encephalopathy
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, titrate drips (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin) as prescribed
• Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes maintaining strict sterile technique
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for high-acuity patient management
• Conduct bedside reports and participate in daily rounds
• Float to tele overflow units as needed

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in neuro telemetry or similar acute care setting
• BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance and maintain competency
• Experience with sterile dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
• Neuro experience highly preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Must have own vehicle for travel teams

Knowledge & Skills

• EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Drip titration (Amio, Cardizem, Insulin) and Heparin administration
• Central line dressing change and Foley catheter insertion
• Cerner EMR proficiency
• Understanding of sterile field maintenance and infection control
• Neuro assessment skills for CVA, TBI, spinal surgery patients
