Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population including oncology, PCU, and med/surg cases
• Monitor and manage patients with common drips such as heparin, cardizem, and chemotherapy agents
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and dietitians to ensure holistic patient outcomes
• Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, supporting colleagues and maintaining continuity of care
• Engage in hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to foster trust and satisfaction
• Utilize EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps for safe and efficient documentation and medication administration

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, oncology, or med/surg nursing experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC certification preferred
• Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• Driver's license required for submittal to verify radius compliance

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and titration of drips (insulin, cardizem, heparin)
• Comfort with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial line, Swan-Ganz) – training available
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced, mixed-acuity unit
• Ability to adapt to floating and varying patient assignments
