Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform a full range of clinical laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank
Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results by following quality control and quality assurance procedures
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues as they arise
Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide timely diagnostic information
Perform phlebotomy on rare occasions when needed

Qualifications

Valid MLT or MT certification from ASCP or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a generalist in a hospital lab
Proven phlebotomy skills (training available if needed)
Experience with EPIC Beaker laboratory information system preferred
Current BLS certification (if required by facility)

Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of clinical lab procedures and instrumentation
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently during night shifts
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
