Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and assess neurological status
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of PCU or step-down experience preferred
Positive attitude and strong critical thinking skills
Ability to work every other weekend and every third holiday
Must live beyond a 50-mile radius from Omaha (no local candidates)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titrating cardiac drips and managing complex cardiac patients
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Strong problem-solving and adaptability in a high-acuity setting
Knowledge of stroke, nephrology, and diabetes management
