Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care and support for cardiovascular patients including post-surgical care
Titrate intravenous drips such as Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, and more
Monitor telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists
Float to units of same or lower acuity as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of experience with cardiovascular patient population
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required at submission for radius verification
Ability to pass an open book exam on skills learned during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and rhythm recognition
IV drip titration for blood pressure management and cardiac medications
Knowledge of BiPAP, CPAP, and oxygen delivery devices
Strong critical thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
