Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients across multiple units
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
Titrate cardiac drips such as Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine as ordered
Float between Tele, MedSurg, ICU, and other units as needed, including potential cross-campus assignments
Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams
Perform thorough patient assessments and document care accurately
Participate in Sim Lab and dysrhythmia competency exams
Ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NIHSS certification preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract start
Experience with cardiac drip titration and EKG interpretation
Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry or acute care nursing experience

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac drip titration and management
Dysrhythmia and EKG interpretation
Central telemetry monitoring systems
Floating to various units and adapting quickly
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
