Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, on-call with 30-minute response time, 36 hours per week
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures including brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
- Operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging exams
- Collaborate with radiologists to optimize image quality and patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and use Radnet & Merge Unity PACS
- Float to Mercy Southwest as needed to support team coverage
Qualifications
- Must hold ARRT certification
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Ability to start IVs? Not required for this role
- Strong understanding of anatomy and imaging protocols
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in MRI and CT imaging techniques
- Skilled in Radnet and Merge Unity PACS
- Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
