Location: Wausau, Wisconsin

Contract Type: Perm

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (8‑hour day shift, 40 hrs/week) with every other weekend and holiday rotation

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care, feeding, and mobility support to residents
Follow individualized care plans to meet resident goals and preferences
Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning using gait belts and mechanical lifts
Deliver restorative and range‑of‑motion exercises as assigned
Respond promptly to call lights and attend to resident needs with empathy
Support residents with assistive devices, prosthetics, and colostomy appliances
Document care accurately in electronic medical records each shift
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment
Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or cognitive status to the licensed nurse
Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary communication

Qualifications

Active Wisconsin CNA license on the Nurse Aide Registry
Minimum 2 years of CNA experience in skilled nursing or similar settings
Ability to lift 50 lb or more safely
Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic medical records

Knowledge & Skills

Resident care planning and documentation
Safe patient handling and use of mechanical lifts
Infection control protocols and PPE usage
Effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare team
Basic wound care and assistive device management
