Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients in a mixed acuity unit
Monitor and manage patients on drips like heparin, cardizem, and chemotherapy
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other med-surg and PCU units as needed to support the team
Ensure hourly rounding and a positive patient experience
Be the type of nurse you want to work with and bring a smile even on tough days

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in oncology and PCU nursing
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred
First-time travelers welcome to apply
Must reside outside 50 miles from Omaha to qualify

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration
Experience with PCU level of care and telemetry monitoring
Ability to titrate drips like insulin and cardizem
EPIC EMR experience preferred but not required
Strong teamwork and communication skills
