Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
• Monitor continuous EEG and titrate critical drips such as Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
• Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain a safe and efficient unit
• Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
• Conduct thorough assessments and document patient progress in a fast-paced environment
• Pass an open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact license
• Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
• Driver's license required for verification of 50-mile radius rule
• At least 1 year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and critical thinking ability

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiac monitoring, titration of vasoactive drips, and neurological assessments
• Knowledge of continuous EEG monitoring and seizure management
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in fast-paced clinical decision-making and problem-solving
