Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (days/nights rotating), 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, 2 holidays per contract

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 40-bed PCU unit
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac strips
Titrate IV drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Assess and manage patients with cardiac, respiratory, stroke, vascular, and renal conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed
Participate in open-book exams and ongoing education

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or critical care experience preferred
Competency in arterial lines and high flow oxygen
Must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with 90% score

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and strip reading
Drip titration and IV medication administration
High flow oxygen therapy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Focus on patient experience and responsiveness
