Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical patients including total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedures, abdominal surgeries, and bariatric cases
Manage patient care for medical overflow and monitor telemetry as needed
Administer medications including occasional heparin drips, PCA pumps, and TPN
Perform bedside shift reports and collaborate with charge nurse and techs to ensure quality care
Assist with early ambulation, JP drains, hemovacs, and colostomy care

Qualifications

Current RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS certification required
Prefer surgical experience, post-op care, and early ambulation experience
First-time travelers welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of post-surgical nursing and medical-surgical care
Ability to titrate drips? No, but comfortable with heparin drips and PCA pumps
Experience with telemetry monitoring and remote tele packs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
