Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans that help patients regain mobility and manage pain
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, adjusting techniques as needed
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising therapist
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Maintain accurate patient records and document treatments in compliance with facility standards
• Collaborate with a supportive healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for each patient

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Washington - or ability to obtain prior to start
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience preferred, but new grads with strong clinical rotations are welcome
• Comfortable working in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of therapeutic exercises, modalities, and rehabilitation techniques
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to individual patient needs and limitations
• Time management skills to handle a varied caseload efficiently
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
