Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts available (days, evenings, nights), including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
Monitor and manage drips including insulin, cardizem, heparin, and chemotherapy
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform assessments, titrate drips, and respond to changing patient conditions
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support the team
Ensure hourly rounding and maintain high patient experience standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
Minimum 1 year of PCU/Oncology experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification preferred
EPIC experience within 6 months preferred
Comfortable with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (training provided)

Knowledge & Skills

Oncology and PCU nursing skills
Trauma patient care knowledge
Ability to titrate drips (insulin, cardizem, heparin)
Chemotherapy administration (preferred)
EPIC EMR proficiency
Strong communication and teamwork
Ability to float to med/surg and PCU units as needed
