Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced PCU/step-down unit
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions, including continuous EEG monitoring
• Titrate and manage drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain a positive attitude, strong communication, and critical thinking skills in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state) - required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications - required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or step-down experience preferred
• Valid driver's license (required for submittal to confirm 50-mile radius)
• Must not be a current staff member or PRN with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in titrating cardiac and neurological drips
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Proactive problem-solving and adaptability
