Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, every other weekend, self-scheduling (7:00 AM-7:00 PM, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, and other start times)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients in a mixed medical-surgical/PCU unit
Monitor and manage hemodynamic status, titrate drips like heparin and cardizem, and administer chemotherapy
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining the same level of care
Support patients from diagnosis to remission, ensuring dignity and respect for all backgrounds

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Oncology experience (first-time travelers welcome)
Active and unrestricted RN license
ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA required
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification required
Must pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Driver's license required at submission
EPIC experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, Aline, Swan, and EV-1000
Comfortable with ventilator management and IV infusion pumps (Alaris)
Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
Able to titrate common drips like heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Strong team player with a positive attitude and dedication to patient care
