Location: Bismarck, ND

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips for adult and geriatric patients
Administer titratable IV medications such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, and Lasix
Provide PCU-level care including managing patients on BiPAP, Airvo, and cardiac drips
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes
Float to PCU or Medical-Surgical units as needed, assisting with patient assignments
Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and post-procedure care

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum PCU experience and ability to read cardiac strips
Tele/cardiac nursing experience strongly preferred
Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
Open to first-time travelers

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
Titration of cardiac drips (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, etc.)
PCU level patient care management
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
