Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU/IMC patients across multiple units including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips (dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amio) and medications like insulin, ativan, and heparin
• Monitor patient acuity and maintain nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Float seamlessly between facilities in Zone 1 to ensure staffing needs are met
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and manage time-sensitive orders using Epic EMR

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMC nursing experience required
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state; must obtain CO license prior to start
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Comfortable titrating and managing cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin
• Ability to float to multiple facilities within a 60-mile zone
• Prior neuro and Epic experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for high-acuity PCU/IMC patients
• Proficiency in cardiac drip titration and medication administration
• Ability to adapt quickly to different unit protocols and floating assignments
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
• Time management and flexibility with changing schedules
