Location: Lufkin, TX

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and other medical-surgical conditions
Monitor telemetry strips, interpret rhythms, and respond to changes promptly
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications, titrate drips as needed, and manage patient care plans
Float to all med/surg units as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in Texas
Strong communication and time management skills to thrive in a virtual integrated care model
Ability to read telemetry strips independently, with support from monitor techs
Previous med/surg or telemetry experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Patient assessment and care planning for CHF, diabetes, PNA, CKD
Effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Time management in a 6:1 patient ratio setting
