Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts; schedules include days, nights, and rotating weekends, with self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a fast-paced PCU/MedSurg unit
Monitor and titrate critical drips like insulin and Cardizem
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support patient care
Ensure hourly rounding and maintain high patient satisfaction
Use EPIC for charting and manage patients on ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
1 year of experience in PCU, oncology, or med/surg
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemotherapy certification required
Willing to take a pass/fail exam on orientation (open book, resources provided)
Driver's license required for verification of 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of oncology and trauma patient care
Proficient in EPIC EMR
Experience with heparin, Cardizem, and chemotherapy administration
Ability to titrate drips and monitor hemodynamics
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Commitment to patient-centered care and cultural sensitivity
