Roles & Responsibilities

Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients as part of their treatment plan
Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment such as linear accelerators
Work closely with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists to ensure precise treatment delivery
Educate patients and families about treatment procedures and side effects
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
Adhere to all safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff

Qualifications

Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy
Valid state license to practice radiation therapy in Nebraska
Current BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in operating radiation therapy equipment
Strong understanding of radiation safety and oncology procedures
Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and precision in treatment delivery
Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
